Summary
Saying she is delighted by mother's present of fruit, and George's gift. She has written to tell Miss Rutherford to have her new velvet bonnet ready for the opening of the church on the 29th. Even though she is not to see her dear mother, she looks forward to the holidays with delight. She is getting on very well in French. It is too bad the Miss Byerleys are to turn over the school to the Miss Ainsworths--whom, however, she will like if she remains at Avon Bank. Her regret that a school friend will not return for the next half year. Please write soon.
