Summary
Inviting him to dinner: "You may have been less facetious on your last visit than was agreeable to yourself but to us I suppose your deportment only seemed the more becoming the Sabbath Day--so much so that we should be glad to see a repetition of the same on Sunday next... --Or if we find you at all dull, we shall believe that you have a reason for it--I think Addison claims the favour of his Readers, & you will not object to be considered our Addison on this occasion."
