Summary
Noting that his son "seems disposed to go to the Literary Fund meeting on Wednesday at 2 O'Clock--have they chosen the Levee day that some of your High Men may be kept away?"; "Dickens's statement" was apparently "refuted when you carried the subscribers with you before." He hopes Mr. Harrison keeps well and is "able to face the artists attacks" [on Modern Painters III? issued 15 January 1856].
