Summary
Thanking him for offering to help when his son goes to print. Although "heavily laden with materials brought from Venice," he will probably not be ready to go to print before January or February. He writes "more and more slowly," although John James believes "more strangely & yet more sweetly. We shall see--" He is glad that Mr. Harrison is out of town and taking notes upon his tour--notes which friends, he hopes, may see. He horrified an acquaintance yesterday by saying that he considers Louis Napoleon the last monarch France has had since Henry IV.
