Summary
Concerning the discharge of his note; expressing his desire to purchase of "one or two hundred hogsheads of "really & truly fine bright Elk Ridge Tobacco fit for the market of London or Amsterdam. I would either take & ship it on my Acct. or you may do it for Acct of the House as your please, for I think a small Cargo of such a quality as may be depended on will answer, but it ought to be sent before the month of September & should be bought as cheap as possible..." adding, in a postscript, the names of the Houses which "are to be depended on" and signed with his initials .
