Discussing his efforts to persuade a "Dr. Hannes" to join "Dr. Blackmore, Mr. Adams, Mr. Boyle & myself" as translators engaged in a group translation of Herodotus's Histories; explaining that "I did not Like my Polymnia, if therefore I can do you any service I will if you please Translate the Eighth Booke, Urania, wch if you will send me down you need not fear any Delays in the Translation"; recounting a conversation with Mr. Yalden during which Addison "askt him when we might expect to see Ovid de Arte Amandi in English [...] he told me that he thought you had dropt the Design since Mr. Dridens Translation of Virgil had bin Undertaken", and Addison confesses "I'm afraid he has done Little of it [...] I believe a Letter from you about it wou'd set him at Work."
