Notes
The published letter, cited below, dates this letter to "27 September, 1815?" and an introductory note indicates that the extract published is from the "Catalogue of Colbeck Radford and Co. Ltd., 1932. The holograph letter from which this extract is taken has not come to light." The Morgan Library acquired this letter in 1973.
It appears that Coleridge may have included a poem after his signature on a third page which is missing and which likely included on its verso an address panel.

Summary
Encouraging him to visit; saying "If you can contrive to spend two or three days with us, we have some Lions to shew - ex. gr. - we can row you about on the finest and largest piece of artificial Water in the Kingdom, at Bow-wood - I can be your Cicerone thro' the admirable Collection of Paintings, and the beautiful Grounds, of the Methuens at Corsham - and I can introduce [you] to the Poet, Bowles, and his delightful Parsonage at Bremhill. - We can indeed offer you everything but a Bed, which from my Son's being with us is out of our Power;" adding that there is a paper mill within a few miles of Calne which he might like to visit; adding that he has "...written out a little poem for your Gazette & I am content, if you should think that it pays for the postage of this Scrawl;" asking if before he leaves Bristol he would collect some items he left behind and bring them to Calne, including his copy of "Remorse" and a tortoise-shell Snuff Box '...which Mr. Michael Castle gave me & which I value for the very handsome manner in which he gave it;" asking about the health of Mrs. Gutch and sending his respects to her and to Mr. LeBreton.
