Regretting that he may not see him before he leaves the colony; saying "I am sorry that my departure from the colony, which I expect will be immediate, prevents my showing you the attention which I should wish to have done. Should you happen to be called to Maritzburg before the end of next week, I should be very happy to see you here - If not, I shall hope at all events for the pleasure of shaking hands with you at Durban, before I embark.
