Summary
Referring to a previous correspondence concerning the leave of Captain Farrel; informing him that the Review of the Battalion has been "postponed to the end of May, I trust the Clothing, Drums, Bugles and other articles wanting will be here in time; and also the Colours;" discussing recruiting and his regret "that a small sum was not allowed for bringers; every officer experienced in recruiting being convinced that success on that Service depends more on the encouragement given to bringers, than on the amount of the Bounty given to the Recruit;" reporting on the troop movements of three companies in his battalion.
