Summary
Concerning the higher education of women and a bequest of funds for it; complimenting him on his progress with the Higher Education of Women at St. Andrews; adding that she cannot help him with "... with any information with regard to the sum of money promised to the 1st University that opens its class rooms & Degree to Women - I should think that if this is the case that the London University could claim this bequest as it has long admitted women both to its class rooms & degree. When I return to Cambridge about the 12th of January I will make enquiry & let you know if I learn any thing about this matter;" inviting him to visit her at Newnham.
