Summary
Asking him to send acorns, seeds and wild turkeys; saying that the acorns he gathered and planted the previous year failed to grow and requesting "...you will next season cause half a Dozen quart Bottles to be filled with Acorns from the stateliest Live Oaks on your Plantation... I saw a fine looking tree at Beaufort called the Sugar Berry Tree by the Negroes, pray send me a few of the Seeds from it, if they can be procured and if p'rchance you can obtain a pair of Wild Turkies for me I shall be very thankful, for seven years past all my efforts in that way have proved fruitless."
