Summary
Written at two sittings, first expressing distress at hearing of her illness, and later joy at her recovery. "Dear heart, The first account I had of your illness so astounded me, that I have been as one benumbed ever since. I wrote and did not know to shame, nor when, nor what. . . . how poor and tottering a creature man is, the tallest ceders tosses most in winds, but all things shall work together for good to all them that fear & love God. Dear dear you have cleared my sight & cheered my heart with the sign of your own hand writing . . . I love, love, & love you, yee have my prayers due to All from All I rest Yours in my sholl Soul."
