Text written on 33 leaves in various types of roman and italic scripts, with decorative borders, flowers and birds in gold and colors.

Brown and green quarter leather drop-spine box (11.2 x 15.4 cm)
Binding: 
Contemporary London binding of brown calf with gilt, both covers decorated with an overall pattern of alternating pinks and roses within laurel wreaths. With remnants of green silk ribbon.
Provenance: 
Executed in 1606 for Master Thomas Pu[c]kering who, between 1605-10, was a companion of Henry, Prince of Wales, and presented to him on New Year's Day 1607. Formerly owned by members of the Sowdon family with a note by H.W. Sowdon on the fly-leaf.
