Summary
Concerning literary matters, including the revision and preparation of the final proof of his Seven against Reeves and his wish that the dialog and behavior of one of an American character in the novel be scrutinized and altered if necessary, "it is notorious that English writers invariably make mistakes in writing American dialogue"; noting that Heinemann has announced the publication of a collected edition of his books, along with a pamphlet by Dr. Snow, and informing his correspondent that they wish to use "that excellent bull you devised as an imprint" and suggesting that he write the publisher if he does not hear from them "so that they don't unwittingly commit a piracy".
