Summary
Letter to the editor of the Academy in response to a recent article by Mr. [George] Saintsbury which appeared in Macmillan magazine, imputing "untruthfulness to De Quincey"; stating that she has offered to make private letters substantiating De Quincey's accont of the points in question avaible to Mr. Saintsbury, who has refused the offer; she therefore wishes to ask the public to "suspend judgement till the letters I offered ... are made public."
