Collection consists primarily of 57 letters from Prince Edward Augustus, Duke of Kent and Strathearn, to Sir John Wentworth, 1st Baronet. The letters concern both matters of state related to the administration of Nova Scotia and personal and social matters and comments on contemporary events, including Edward's governorship of Gibraltar (MA 14909.27-.30), the health of his father George III (MA 14909.19, .21, .32), and comments on U.S. politics (MA 14909.15, .27, .31, .33, .37). Collection also contains 6 letters from Edward to Charles Mary Wentworth, 1 letter from Edward to Frederick Augustus Wetherall, 1 letter from Edward to William Windham, 1 letter from John Sullivan to Edward, and 2 envelopes addressed to Wentworth.
