Summary
Concerning a recent article on the personal predictions given to Oscar Wilde by the occultist and fortune teller "Cheiro" during a palm reading session, along with Ives's own recollection of Wilde's account of his meeting with Cheiro, "Oscar told me years ago that Cheiro had read his hand and said: I can see 3 more plays. O. said: But I am going to write a hundred plays. C. said: I can only see 3."; followed by the observation that "Oscar, with all his intellect, was superstitious", and Ives's own expression of skepticism regarding "palmists or astrologers or Theosophy or Christian Science, or any of those vague unproved cults."
