Thanking her for the punctual return of some proofs, remarking the printer's mistake "which so much puzzled you" and which he identitfied as "a mistake of 'identity' for 'ideality"', adding that he is sure that he and his colleague would be glad of her assistance, and assuring her tha he will always consider her articles "with great care", even if they prove unsuitable for "our paper" (i.e. the National Review); requesting that she write on one side of the paper only in the future, to make it easier to make changes; asking for instructions on remitting payment to her for her article and promising to send her a copy of the National Review as soon as it is out.
