Concerning his "Corn Law Rhymes", with references to the "Breadtax", possible contributions to the Monthly Repository ("I hold you pledged to take what I may send you into consideration."), his intention to send him the second volume of his poetry, his appreciation for Fox's political opinions, and his concerns for the future ("We have won arms, but not the battle - and I yet fear all that is expressed by that dreadful word Revolution"), concluding that he expects "great things from Buckingham", as he "has the ability of Canning, with twice his knowledge."
