Summary
Responding to a request for informations regarding Rupert Brooke and his friends in Cambridge; stating that he is not acquainted with any of Brooke's Cambridge friends, as the friends they had in common "were mostly in London or other parts of the country"; explaining that all his letters from Brooke have been bound up into a volume which he "can't very well let go out of my own keeping"; informing him that manuscripts of Brooke's Soldier's sonnets are in the British Museum; acknowledging the recipient's suggestion that Drinkwater read his own poem "[The crowning of] Dreaming John" at an upcoming poetry reading, and explaining, however, that he intended to read "nothing but later poems this time".
