Thanking her for sending him concert tickets to Faust, and expressing his regret that he will be unable to attend, as he has suffered another attack of bronchitis and has "been a prisoner ever since"; noting that he is nearly well and "able to paint every day", and that he will go to the seaside in March, "which is a bore"; informing her that he will send the tickets to his brother Jame and his wife, as "they will be very much pleased to go."
