Summary
Writing to inform him that he will not be able to have lunch with him tomorrow owing to a previous engagement, suggesting that he call Maugham to see if they can arrange another time "either at your place or at Nice", and asking him if he intends to return to Italy; sending his love to Gerald (Haxton) and expressing the hope that he approved of Douglas's recent book of limericks, adding "There has been a little trouble about them in England and I hope it won't spread to Italy, else I may be up a tree, and so will the printer."
