Summary
Collection of letters and poetry manuscripts addressed by William Bodham Donne to his friend, Frederick Walpole Keppel, of Lexham Hall, Litcham, Norfolk, concerning his work as a writer for various periodicals, as inspector of schools, and as examiner of plays, with many of the letters discussing local and national politics and his views on literary and political topics; poems are included in the collection as enclosures in some of Donne's letters and as unaccompanied manuscripts, and are chiefly comprised of satirical verses on mutual acquaintances in Norwich and on local and national political figures of the day.
