Rev. William Bell was a co-principal of the naval school at North Grove House, where Sydney Dickens attended as a student.
With a draft of Bell's reply on the verso of the first page, promising strict compliance with Dickens's request and adding that Sydney Dickens "only had leave to to Mr. White & Capt. Evelegh's. Shd. you wish the latter'sinvitations not to be accepted in future, perhaps you will kindly let us know."
