Summary
Excusing himself for not writing sooner and explaining that, after an unproductive winter, with his mind in a state of hibernation, he now has a strong desire to write, which has prevented him from responding to Boissiere; noting that he has heard many good things about Boissiere's book Fumeurs d'opium and hoping that he will write for the Revue Indochinoise.
