Concerning Bicknell's recent acquisition on commission of some "parchments" on Cunningham's behalf, formerly in the possession of librarian and collector [William] Upcott, and giving a brief account of their provenance (i.e., "at Upcott's sale they were bought by Dodd from whose hands they passed through those of Russell Smith into Mr. J.O. Halliwell's keeping. I do not believe a word about the seven guineas.").
