Possibly addressed to the English printer, author and antiquary, John Nichols (1745-1826), editor of The gentleman's magazine, who served as deputy of the ward of Farringdon from 1787-1797, and who therefore appears as "Deputy Nichols" in some sources from this period.
Letter tipped onto a sheet of lined paper.
