Charles Clinch Bubb was the operator of the Clerk's Press in Cleveland, Ohio, which issued Cournos's translations of short stories by Fyodor Sologub in 1917 in a limited edition of forty copies as: Little tales / by Feodor Sologub ; an authorised translation from the Russian by John Cournos. Cleveland : Printed at the Clerk's Private Press, 1917.

Summary
Stating that he would "be delighted" to have Bubb print his translations of the writings of Fyodor Sologub "in a limited edition of forty", enclosing two other translations of Sologub, and remarking that it is his intention to someday publish a volume of Sologub's stories; saying that Bubb may note that Cournos's translations are authorized, and enclosing two "Dreams" which he states Bubb is welcome to include in his "little volume."
