Concerning the drawings and artistic abilities of a young person referred to as "Winifred"; Corelli notifies Mrs. Baker that she has shown Winifred's drawings to "some of the best judges in London", and proceeds to pose a series of six questions regarding the girl's background which she wishes to have answered before proceeding any further, including the age at which she first showed an interesting in drawing, any instruction she may have received as an artist, and her exposure to art, whether in museums, books, photographs, etc., and whether she has ever drawn from nature.
