Summary
Explaining that he has been away and had missed a wire from Peck "by 2 days", and that he has left Wittenham and is unable to say when he will be in Oxford; saying that he is glad to have escaped the responsibility of advising Peck about some poems, as he is "a broken reed, a liar, & not to be depended on", in such matters; explaining that he left his wife and is currently living in Wittenham "with a South African girl to whom I am supposed to be married, but am not"; giving him the address of [Edward] O'Brien in Locarno, Switzerland, and noting that Romer Wilson [O'Brien's wife] died there in January; proposing that Peck come to visit him on Wednesday; and explaining that his wife is in Locarno acting as secretary to Edward O'Brien.
