Concerning communications he has received from two women ("Mme Wharton" and [Mme. Byrkmyre]) who have evidently contacted him on behalf of Marcel Prévost and his intentions to forward their inquiries to Davray as the holder of the French translation rights to his books; briefly discussing the success of his last book (i.e. his 'Twixt Land and Sea), progress on his novel Chance, which he expects to appear in September, and his plans to finish another in a month and begin another which will take place around the isle of Elba during the time of Napoleon.
