Summary
Writing in response to a letter she has received from Mrs. [Elizabeth] Kinney concerning the recent exposure of [Daniel Dunglas] Home the medium and "informing me that the medium's moral character has entirely failed & that you have been forced to exclude him from your house"; requesting that he write her with his opinion of spiritualism and asking whether or not he believes the demonstrations given by mediums are all attributable to "trickery" ("I need not say that my husband considers himself justified to the extreme verge of his incredulity by the downfall of the medium's reputation for virtue. Do you think so?").
