I excise his parallel passage."; assuring her that anything she says privately will always be "carefully heeded", and that should she need anything done for her in England, she need only say so; writing that "The paper is doing very well. I have got Ruskin into an art controversy this week. How do you like (that is do you see) Punch's black slave & French ouvrier - 'men & brothers.'"
