The sixty drawings include copies of works by Claude, Rubens, Cuyp, Ostade, Raphael, Rembrandt, Hals, Teniers, Hobbema, Titian, and Burnet himself, among many others.
This is a shortened version of Burnet's Practical Treatise on Painting (1827), which in turn comprised three earlier volumes of Practical hints.
This volume was apparently assembled after 1827, as one of the sheets upon which the illustrations are mounted bears a later watermark (according to enclosed bookseller's description).
With manuscript title page, signed "George W. Shary- / Ealing -."
