Saying that he has just spent a week "at Nietzsche's beloved Sils Maria, a deep-green lake in a coronet of peaks. The old people still remember him from 1881-1886;" reporting on various writing projects; saying "Our Town grows more beautiful and vast every day;" adding "Solitude's wonderful. I've scarcely spoken to a soul for a month; yet never happier; 6,000 feet high and in snow."
