Summary
Describing Mr. Kearsley's plan to produce supplements to Harris's Collection of Voyages (probably John Harris's Navigantium Atque Itinerantium Bibliotheca, or A Compleat Collection of Voyages); saying that, for that purpose, he "made a Collection of the modern German, Russian[,] Danish, and Italian voyages, not yet translated"; writing that he also translated and abridged "Mr. Niebuhrs Description and voyage of Arabia, both of them undertaken under the direction of the most learned Orientalists, and executed under the protection of the late King of Denmark" (referring to Carsten Niebuhr); saying that Kearsley has abandoned his plan and he is now looking to publish the manuscript: "The learned in Europe have decided already in favour of Mr. Niebuhrs work; and it will prove acceptable in a good and decent english dress"; adding that the voyages to Russia were made by "very able naturalists and observers" and listing their names; proposing those volumes for abridgement and publication as well.
