Reporting on his lack of success in locating prints of Versailles for his correpondent, an English collector of printed of Versailles. Mariette describes some items in the collection of the Parisian engraver Gerard Edelink and notes that he himself possesses seventy different prints engraved by Israel Silvestre, Marot and others. This collection he lists in detail, and all of the prints can be identified in C.Le Blanc's "Manuel de l'Amateur d'Estampes," III, 505-516. He also mentions that he is working on a collection of views of the residences of nobles.
