Summary
He says that having thought it over, he prefers to abstain. His membership in/or connection with French Free is sufficiently clear. He can't take a stronger position because he has family in France. The Nice police have already phoned his wife. He doesn't want even more serious problems for his wife because of his actions here [in New York]. He hopes that Rosenberg understands and strongly regrets not participating in Rosenberg's effort. He hopes to see Rosenberg at the French American Club dinner on Monday, March 9.
