Summary
Discussing in detail the root "mangel wurzel," with a paragraph on the healing effects of laudanum. He requests a loan of the "Constitutions of the two Societies at Philadelphia, for the Benefit of Prisoners, & for abolishing negro slavery, which shall be safely returned" and notes that he has "got Dr. Rush's pamphlet" (probably a reference to Benjamin Rush).
