Summary
Thanking him for his card and saying that he is glad to hear that he is resting and intends to visit Hélion before returning to Paris. Helion has begun to paint nude figures that he hopes to continue to work hard on, and he wants Rosenberg to see them. He thinks that they represent something new and exciting. He asks if Rosenberg has seen his still lives of/from Paris. Hélion has had no news from Pierre Colle [French art dealer] since he [Hélion] came south and has no idea what he's up to. When Hélion sent him Rosenberg's letter saying the he (Rosenberg) had had no confirmation from him (Colle) about the agreement concerning the three of them, Colle said he never writes and would see Rosenberg the following month in any case. However, Colle seems to consider their agreement as concluded. Colle has also, in agreement with Renon, decided to put of the exhibit until the fall, and Hélion hopes that that suits Rosenberg as well. He would like to have the arrangements finalized. Hélion asks Rosenberg is he has any news of the exhibitions of his work that Rosenberg organized in San Francisco and Los Angeles. [Thomas] Bouchard finished his film on Hélion's American work, and the first copies should be ready the following month. He told Bouchard to get in touch with Rosenberg's gallery and is interested in having the film distributed around the US. He says that Bouchard must have seen Miss [Florence] Walters. Hélion asks Rosenberg for Matisse's address. He'd like to see him or write to him if Matisse can't receive him. He asks Rosenberg to let him know when he's planning to visit him a few days in advance.
