Summary:

Thanking him for his letter "...& for a sight of the photo of the children who discover authors lurking in such unlikely hiding-places as Yacht Club Lists. It seems a hundred years since I saw children sprawling on the deck of a yacht - so slowly do these tense months go by. I'm so glad your niece likes 'The Golden Age' - one never knows, & a fresh supporter is always welcome. I hope you are having a good time on the Fowey River. I wanted to come down to Fowey, a few weeks ago, but couldn't get in anywhere."
