Including autograph letter signed, making an appointment for him at the home of Jules Favre [the French statesman] for the next day; autograph letter signed, pressing for an interview before the following Monday, which he has been told at the office, is the first possible date owing to the ill health of his correspondent; letter, to "Notre cher Cousin," asking him to procure a place at the Tuileries, or in one of chateaux for the valet who has served them at college, whom they highly recommend. He cannot go on their travels for he is a married man with a family.
