Annotated by Sir Alexander Wedderburn throughout, and presumably copied for him from the originals at Brantwood, Coniston.
Vol. 1 contains typed transcripts of the following poems: Look at that Ship, The Sun, Glen Glenfarg, A Battle, Birthday Ode (3), New Year's Ode, as well as typed transcripts of 42 letters, primarily to his father, and a diary extract. Poems date from 1827 to 1837; letters date from 1 February 1829 to 10 March 1844. Vol. 2 contains typed transcriptions of 83 letters, primarily to his father, dated 23 March 1847 to [16] March 1851.
When the typed transcriptions were made, the originals were housed in one volume at Brantwood, Coniston.
