Apologizing for dictating the letter but explaining that her hand was injured from autographing five hundred copies of a deluxe edition of Sapphira for Alfred Knopf in three days; sending Hills one of her two advance copies of the book and the other to an old and dear friend, leaving none for herself; adding that the book will be out on December 7th and that the epilogue is true, word for word and based on one her her earliest and most vivid memories.
