Summary
Informing him that the meeting room at the Middle Temple Hall will be in use on the 3rd of May and suggesting several alternate possibilities; suggesting the meeting be held at 4 pm and inviting the members to come to his house after the meeting; adding "My house is not large enough to dine them all - but I shall be much gratified if they will come to an evening party here;" commenting on Wordsworth; saying "I have really said all that occurs to me to say of Wordsworth more than once in print & in public. I will however say a few words & they will be very few on opening the meeting;" referring to the 6-volume edition of 1836 and the volume of sonnets and the 6-volume edition of 1857 saying "I am afraid if these references will not help you that I cannot help you further. The 1836 edition is the one which contains the notes; the 1857...;" the remainder of the letter is missing.
