Summary
Discussing gifts of materials made to Dove Cottage, whether the cottage can properly house them, and how this should be handled; discussing the Dove Cottage Trust's financial situation and possible renovation plans: "Our difficulty at present is money. We all wish not to leave the Reserve Fund empty. I should propose that the Sub-Com. try to collect 50.0.0. If we can get no more, we might then ask the Trustees to grant us £50 more out of the Reserve Fund, & to replace it year after year from the receipts at the Cottage by 5 or 10 pounds at a time. If we can get 50.0.0 we might set the workmen to work at once, & have the rooms ready in six months or so. And then -- but not till then, we can arrange to receive any other gifts which your or the public kindness may offer to us."
