Being four bank books issued by Prescott, Cave, Buxton, Loder & Co., each with several canceled checks. Vol. 1 covers the period 26 September 1885 to 18 May 1888, and contains 21 canceled checks from that period (dated 1886-1888). Vol. 2 covers the period 24 May 1888 to 31 December 1891, and contains 15 canceled checks dated 1894, all of which were written out and signed by Joanna R. Severn on Ruskin's behalf. Vol. 3 covers the period 1 January 1892 to 12 December 1895, and contains 36 canceled checks dated 1895, all of which were written out and signed by Joanna R. Severn on Ruskin's behalf. Vol. 4 covers the period 3 December 1895 to 30 December 1898, and contains 38 canceled checks from that period (dated 1895-1897), all of which were written out and signed by Joanna R. Severn on Ruskin's behalf.
