Summary
Thanking Alexander for her letter, noting that it is "invaluable" to Ruskin "as well as to the readers of [Christ's] Folk [in the Apennine]," as it "describes secenery and people of which [Ruskin] had not the least idea and [contains] pieces of history [that] are delicious, [furthering his] continually reiterated doctrine of trust in race." Mentioning Joan Severn will leave Brantwood on Thursday, and noting that Ruskin "will have to get on by [him]self for about a fortnight when [he] shall have somebody to take care of [him] again."
