Summary
Saying he will give him information on Wordsworth's sojourn in "the Quantock district," saying that his residence, "Woodlands," is a half mile from Alfoxfen, saying he has only one copy left of his privately printed book but that Knight could borrow one from either Mr. Hutchinson or Dr. Grosart, and agreeing that a certain unpublished poem of Wordsworth's, which he discovered, should remain so because it is "uncorrected & unnamed, "saying it was written "most unwillingly" at the request of Mr. Poole and offering to "procure a sight of the original M.S. in Miss Wordsworth's neat autograph, containing that poem & also transcripts of the earlier lyrical ballads, presented to Mr. Poole by W. on leaving Alfoxden," and also saying he will join the Wordsworth Society and will subscribe to Knight's new edition of Wordsworth's works.
