Summary
Acknowledging receipt of his letter and telegram; saying he is in Scotland for the marriage of his youngest son; adding that he had a brief stop in Glasgow on the way and will go to Inverness and Edinburgh on their way back to London in time for the new session of the Courts; apologizing that he will not be able to visit him at St. Andrews - adding "It is a place I specially desire to visit & to visit it with Lady Coleridge as your guest would be really delightful - I hope I shall not be quite so long again before I revisit Scotland & if I do you may depend upon it & shall do my best to avail myself of your kindness. This place is perfectly magnificent in its scenery & we have had glorious weather for the marriage;" sending his respects to him and Mrs. Knight.
